Heaven’s Lottery (Part 2 of 2)

We didn’t leave the house that night though we could hear others gathered outside talking away. A lot of them were still out when we got up next morning. The street was littered with cans.

The Whelan’s were sayin’ it was the end of days, preachin’ about the final Judgement. That didn’t go down well with The Richmond’s. The young couple clearly didn’t fancy their chances in whatever the trial would be and were determined that if it was the End of Days, they’d bloody well enjoy it.

Someone had found a guitar. Oasis tunes were screeched out from Number 37. A few of our neighbours, those that should have known better, joined the growing entourage on the Richmond front lawn. The chordless wonder never let up, satisfying the beery shouted requests of the group. Read more

Oh Yeah. That Marketing Thing.

IMG-20180807-WA0003SO, I RELEASED A NEW NOVEL TODAY.

My fifth. Can you believe that?

I haven’t done too much in the way of promotion, because, well…I’ve done that in the past, thrown a lot of money at it, and didn’t get much return on the old investment of either time or energy.

Instead, I’m employing a slightly different method – one that I think many indie authors might be better served doing (instead of gaming algorithms and what not).

Write a bloody good book.

Yep. That’s about it.

Best marketing you can have is when people freely refer it to their friends without your prodding them in the back. Read more

Sigil is Free. That is All. For Now…

Site.SigSHORT UPDATE TO ANNOUNCE that my Irish based thriller SIGIL is free to download via Amazon US/UK for the next couple of days.

It features the Catholic Parish priest Fr Tom Regan in what I can now officially confirm is his FIRST outing (more on that shortly).

A suicide in the small sleepy village of Ballygorm raises Regan’s suspicion.

But he’s alone in his scepticism. Using his amateur sleuthing he uncovers foul play and finds that in the outwardly pious and tight-knit community, they are hiding a killer in a village where everyone’s a suspect.

I wrote this back in 2016 while I was in Medellin, Colombia.

I’ve actually come full circle and am back here again, and Regan too! I’m letting him off the leash for a second adventure at the end of this month.

Really excited to be telling you more about YAGE soon.

Anyway, you can get your hit of Regan on the following links:
Amazon US
Amazon UK

If you have read it, enjoyed it and not yet left a review – it’s SUPER EASY to do so. Just scroll down until you see the reviews and hit ‘Write a Customer Review’.

Couldn’t be easier and you’d be doing me a huge favour too. More reviews typically help with my marketing efforts and reaching a bigger audience.

It also plasters a big shit grin on my face for a solid 24 hours.

Fr Regan. I’ve been expecting you…

ALWAYS A PROUD MOMENT seeing a project in print or the first time.

Especially this one. Yage is the sequel to Sigil and sees the Catholic Priest Tom Regan dust off his clerical collar again in a mystery thriller set in Peru.

I’m going to release this one in mid-September and it will be my fifth (!) novel.

How did that happen?! Read more

Letting Regan off the Leash

QUICK UPDATE – My second novel SIGIL is free to download for the next 48 hours.

I’m busy working on the sequel as we speak with (fingers crossed) a release date of end of June 2018.

Quick turnaround, but I really am investing every waking sane moment I have into completing it. That would be almost two years after the first instalment. Time flies!

You can download it from Amazon US, UK and other territories today.
