WHAT LENGTH THE sentence to endure, how deep the suffering, silent, sure
Incumbents bound in moral plight, that’s love in a loveless marriage
Silent suffering, keeping face, public blackmail, the disgrace
In breaking up this pointless juncture, that’s love in a loveless marriage
Flock migrated, quiet descends, they go their ways, make other friends
But come to nest when night descends, that’s love in a loveless marriage
Tolerating, spirit lost, passionless to argue
Tired holding outward face, that’s love in a loveless marriage
Death’s relief will still the pain, allow who’s left to live and gain
Themselves returned from living hell, that’s love in a loveless marriage
This is my 100th blog post!
Despite it being Christmas Eve and not exactly a festive post, I wanted to share it anyway.
It was written by my Father who passed away eight years ago. He was a fond writer and his memory lives on in the poetry and short stories he left behind.
I hope you enjoyed it. Merry Christmas!
