I WOULDN’T CALL IT PROCRASTINATING.

But I really should have finished my next novel at this stage. I’m still applying the final brushstrokes and will announce a release date next week.

In the meantime, I’ve been busy. Honest!

I’ve been working for a startup company, based in the Czech Republic.

Mapotic provide social mapping tools (which are free – YAY!) to help communities form and engage around shared interests.

That could be trainspotters, roller-coaster fanatics, Vegan restaurant lovers, butterfly enthusiasts…basically…whatever your interest is, and as long as it has a location, it can be captured.

You can find out a little more about Mapotic’s mission and if you like what you see, feel free to take it for a test drive and create your first map.

I’ve also been volunteering these past few months for an Irish teenage mental health charity called Aunua Academy.

Recently I was tasked with writing a short story about our mascot, Erin.

Erin is 11 years old and through her eyes, we explore issues affecting teens and ultimately provide support and resources to help those experiencing mental health issues.

If you want to give some Facebook love to either channel, please do!

  1. Hi Aidan. Nice one on the new business venture and indeed on the volunteering. I’ve been volunteering for various wildlife and conservation charities for over 3 years now and without doubt it has been hugely satisfying and delivering so many experiences I would never otherwise have had. A total joy. Everyone should give such things a try, if they can.
