Tulum, Mexico – Most Beautiful Beaches I’ve ever seen!

CUMULATIVELY, I’VE SPENT fourteen months in Central and South America.
Sifting through some old photos since 2013, I got a little bit nostalgic.
I’m still in Colombia (Medellin) so it’s not all doom and gloom! I felt it would be nice idea to share only one (!) photo, a memorable moment in each country in Central and South America that I was fortunate enough to visit.
There were more visually striking images along the way (Machu Picchu and Iguaza Falls to name just two), but these images all had a back story and were memorable in their own way.
I hope you enjoy!

I’d love to hear from other travellers who have shared the same experiences.
What were your stand-out memories from your time in Central/South America?

  1. Great post. Personally I’d add exploring the ruins of Ollantaytambo, Peru; strolling the main square of Antigua, Guatemala and the idyllic town of Paraty on Brazil’s Costa Verde

      1. Yeah for some reason it came up on my feed and I saw I must have missed it the first time. Glad I got it the second time around. Best wishes

  2. Gorgeous!!! I travelled Brazil, Argentina and Peru last summer. Hoping to get to Colombia this summer. I absolutely loved it. Highlights were Rio (Sugarloaf, Christ the Redeemer, favelas), rainforest night trek in Illa Grande, boat trip on Paraty, home stay on Lake Titicaca, the Inca trail, Colca Canyon trek, Iguaza falls. Just amazing.

  3. Lovely. The place has really taken up residence under your skin. Do you think you’ll ever relocate there permanently? I have not visited, but have a life-time dream of visiting Brazil one day. One day…

  4. Never been to either but I am interested to know if you have ever felt unsafe at all? And also if you could pick just one to visit, which and why?

    1. There were a few hairy moments in Guatemala and Honduras but as long as you don’t act like an ape and start aggravating people, and take taxis, using common sense, it’s absolutely fine. My favourite was Colombia. That’s why I’m still here 🙂
