  4. Hi Aidan. Nice one. I’m glad you posted as I’ve been wanting to ask you something. Have you ever posted an item about how you’ve best approached the publicity angle on your novels (what has worked best etc)? I have a feeling you might’ve done several but I thought I’d ask. The reason is that I’ve just self-published my first novel (hooray!) and I now need to get some word out there beyond friends and family…🙂

      I’d recommend checking out thecreativepenn.com
      Amazon Ads with Brian Meeks is a very useful book. Are you exclusive to Amazon? If so, you have things there like Countdown deals and Free Days to generate some noise. You could look at Bookfunnel and Instafreebie to grow your mailing list…in fact, I’ll probably do a blog post in the coming days about 20 things I Wish I Knew, from my two years as an author, though keeping it to 20 could be difficult.

I’d rather avoid Facebook cos I don’t like it very much…but we shall see…will read your pointers first.
